Norwell is located 20 miles outside of Boston, Massachusetts and is just a few miles from the Atlantic coast. The town is bound on one side by the North River which was once home to a major shipbuilding industry and is now used for recreational kayaking, fishing and boating. There is a quaint historic town center with restaurants, stores and a coffee shop as well as a busy and vibrant shopping district which runs along a main road from one end of town to the other. There are two elementary schools, one middle school, a high school and a public Charter School as well as 3 libraries. Norwell is conveniently located near a major highway with 2 exits giving you direct driving access to the Cape Cod and Boston. Norwell is surrounded by Hanover, Rockland, Pembroke, Marshfield, Scituate and Hingham.
